Alexis warns Arsenal: I want to be in a winning team with a winning mentality
The Gunners' star man has been linked with Chelsea, and while he says he wants to stay in London, he didn't commit definitively to the Emirates side
Alexis Sanchez has dropped a strong hint that he wants Arsenal to improve or he could seek a transfer away.
With manager Arsene Wenger under pressure, the Emirates side are in danger of missing the Champions League next season as they lie sixth in the Premier League, six points short of fourth-placed Liverpool, albeit with two matches in hand.
Several players have admitted that their mentality has not been good enough this season, and that is something the Chile international also wishes to see improve before the opening of the summer transfer window.
His contract is up in 2018, so come June he will be in a strong position to force a move through if the club is not up to the standards he expects.
“I’d like to stay in the city, but for a team that is winning, that has a winning mentality,” he is quoted by El Grafico as having said.
